A pub in a Northampton neighbourhood has reportedly shut down overnight for the second time in two years.

Metal security shutters have been installed over the doors and windows of the King David pub, in Newnham Road, Kingsthorpe.

The pub was relaunched under a new landlady in November 2017, after it shut down under its previous owner in July that year.

But now it appears to have closed after 10 months of trading.

A spokesperson for The Ei Publican Partnership - formerly known as Enterprise Inns, which owns the King David, said: “We can confirm that the King David, Northampton is currently shut. We would like to reassure the local community that we plan to reopen the site as soon as possible.”
