Men tried to rob car keys from driver in Northampton

Two men tried to rob a man of his car keys in Hunter Street, Northampton.

The victim had just got out of his car when the two men approached. One of them held on to him while the other hit him and tried to grab his keys, but he managed to break free and the two offenders made off in the direction of Colwyn Road.

Both men are believed to be in their early twenties. One is described as white, about 5ft 10in tall with a skinny build. The other is described as black, about 6ft tall with a medium build. He was riding a black BMX with silver rims on the wheels.

Police would particularly like to speak to a man who came to the victim’s aid before the offenders ran off.

The incident happened on Tuesday, 8 July at about 11.30pm.
