Three men armed with a small handgun, axe and baseball bat stole cash during a robbery at a Corby bookmakers.

Just after 9pm on Saturday (December 17), the men went into Coral in Occupation Road and threatened staff with the weapons, forcing them to open the safe.

They made off with a quantity of cash in both notes and coins.

The first offender is described as 5ft 5in, of medium build, wearing a dark coloured hooded top with the hood, blue knitted gloves and a scarf across his face. He had a local accent.

The second is described as a 5ft 5in white man of around 21 with a slim build and blue eyes.

He wore a grey hooded top with the hood up and a light coloured scarf across his face. He also had a local accent.

The third man is described as 5ft 5in of medium build, dressed in dark clothing.

A police spokesman said: “This is a targeted attack and we are investigating it.

“We are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.”
