Masked robbers threaten woman with a hammer after breaking into her Northampton home

Two masked men broke into a house in Northampton and threatened a woman with a hammer before stealing cash.

The robbery happened in Derwent Close, Kings Heath at about 1am on Sunday morning.

The robbers also demanded the woman’s bank card and PIN number which she was unable to give them. Police have described the victim as “vulnerable”.

Both of the offenders were white and wore dark clothing and beanie hats pulled down over their faces with eye slots cut out.

One is described as 6ft tall and 30-40 years old, the other about 5ft 9in tall and in his early twenties with green/grey eyes and a slim build.
