Marks & Spencer ends rumours of Northamptonshire store closure with launch of bakery

Retail giant Marks & Spencer has ended rumours that it is set to close its Kettering town centre store - and is in fact investing to improve it.

But there are no plans to close the store and the firm will in fact be opening a new bakery this Thursday (March 24).

An M&S spokesman said: “We have no plans to close our High Street store in Kettering.”

The new in-store bakery will open in the foodhall at 9am, and will be offering free samples from Thursday until Saturday (March 26).

The bakery will offer a range of speciality breads, pastries and cakes which have been freshly baked in-store each day.
