Marks & Spencer ends rumours of Northamptonshire store closure with launch of bakery
Retail giant Marks & Spencer has ended rumours that it is set to close its Kettering town centre store - and is in fact investing to improve it.
Rumours had picked up pace that the retailer was set to close its High Street branch.
But there are no plans to close the store and the firm will in fact be opening a new bakery this Thursday (March 24).
An M&S spokesman said: “We have no plans to close our High Street store in Kettering.”
The new in-store bakery will open in the foodhall at 9am, and will be offering free samples from Thursday until Saturday (March 26).
The bakery will offer a range of speciality breads, pastries and cakes which have been freshly baked in-store each day.
