Man punched to the floor and dragged along the road during attack in Northamptonshire street

A 27-year-old man was assaulted as he walked along a road in Northamptonshire.

The incident happened on Friday evening between 8pm and 8.10pm in Beanfield Avenue, Corby.

The man was near the junction with Newark Avenue when he was approached by a man who punched him to the floor and pulled him across Beanfield Avenue.

The offender then ran off in an unknown direction.

He was a white man in his early 20s, of slim build and about 6ft. He had short dark hair and was wearing a grey hooded top.

Police would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this incident or have any information regarding it.
