A man killed himself after he suffered with depression and struggled to cope with the break up of a relationship, an inquest in Northampton heard.
Alan Hicks, a 37-year-old formerly of Highfield, Towcester, was found dead in his home by his parents on December 3 last year.
Coroner Anne Pember heard Mr Hicks, a BP tanker driver, had suffered from depression and had sought help from doctors to try to combat the illness.
His former girlfriend said Mr Hicks had contacted her shortly before his death to say he wanted to start their relationship again, but she told him she was now seeing someone else.
Mrs Pember recorded a verdict of suicide.
