Man had passport stolen in Northampton town centre robbery

A man had his passport and mobile phone stolen by two strangers who approached him in Northampton town centre.

The 28-year-old was walking along St Katherine’s Street near Sol Central just after 4pm on Sunday, April 13 when the two men approached him.

One ordered him to empty his pockets and the two men took an old Nokia mobile phone and a passport. The men then fled in the direction of King Street.

Both men where white and eastern European. The first was about 35, 6ft and of average build. He had a distinctive tattoo on his upper right arm of a blonde woman.

He wore grey jogging bottoms, a red body warmer and a white baseball cap.

The second man was between 35 and 40, around 6ft tall and muscular. He had short blond hair and was wearing a black jacket and blue jeans.

Witnesses, or anyone with any information about the incident, can call Northamptonshire Police on 101.
