Man exposed himself and made “lewd suggestion” to seven-year-old girl in Northampton

Police are hunting a man who exposed himself and attempted to touch a seven-year-old girl in the Thorplands area of Northampton.

The girl and her two-year-old brother were walking between Farmbrook Court and Sidebrook Court on Saturday at 10.30am when a man approached them and exposed himself.

Police say he attempted to touch the girl and made a “lewd suggestion” to her. The girl’s brother screamed and the offender ran off in the direction of Holmecross Road.

The man is described as white, about 19, unshaven with medium-length brown hair, a spotty complexion and possibly a Scottish accent. He was wearing a black top with a red Adidas logo and light-blue jeans.

Witnesses, or anyone with information, can call Northamptonshire Police on 101. Alternatively, information can be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
