Man attacked by van driver while walking with his family in Northampton

A man was punched in the head as he walked along a Northampton street with his family.

Police said today that he was walking along Spencer Street in St James at about noon on Tuesday, December 9, when a white flatbed van passed by.

As the vehicle passed the family, one of the people inside pointed out of the window. The van was then parked and two men got out, walking towards the family and shouting.

The victim was then punched in the side of the head.

Both of the men from the van were white and heavily built. One was about 6ft 1in and had short, black hair. He was wore black tracksuit bottoms and a navy blue top.

The second man was about 6ft 4ins, had short, ginger hair and was wearing jeans and a t-shirt.
