Man assaulted in Northampton after being punched in a shop

The incident happened between 1pm and 1.20pm near the junction with Hood Street in Kettering Road yesterday afternoon (September 2).

The victim entered a shop and a disagreement took place between him and a member of staff.

Another man is alleged to have then punched the victim in the face before the incident then spilled out into the street.

A spokeswoman for Northamptonshire Police today said: "The suspect is described as white, about 20 years old, 5ft 7in, with a skinny build, short black hair and a dark beard.

"He was wearing a black t-shirt and blue jeans with white on them."
