A 38-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving after a police pursuit on the M1 that ended in Northamptonshire.
Bedfordshire Police is trying to trace any motorists who may have been involved in a collision with a black Ford Focus being driven by the suspected drink driver on the M1 on Tuesday, January 27.
Officers followed the damaged Ford Focus after it was spotted between junctions 9 and 10 on the northbound carriageway of the motorway at about 11.20am.
Officers pursued the car through Buckinghamshire until the driver was eventually stopped in Northamptonshire at 11.48am.
The vehicle is thought to have been involved in two collisions during the incident, including with a car transporter.
The driver of the car, a 38-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of drink driving and has been bailed pending further enquiries.
