Emergency services were called to Banbury Lane outside Pattishall due to the crash involving a Nissan Micra and an Audi TT after the Gayton turn at around 8.35am.

The pair both suffered minor injuries and were treated by paramedics before one of them was taken to Northampton General Hospital, according to East Midlands Ambulance Service.

The road was blocked as the fire service cleared up an oil spill caused by the crash.
