Man accused of sexually touching women on buses in Northampton

A 36-year-old man from Northampton has been arrested and charged with sexual assault, following a number of alleged incidents of sexual touching on buses in Northampton.

Scott Fielding, of Greenwood Road, St James, Northampton, was charged with four counts of sexual assault on a female over 16. He appeared before Northampton Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, 25 April, and was remanded in custody.

The alleged offences happened between March 4 and April 17, 2015.

Sergeant Alasdair Fraser said: “Although a man has been charged with this offence, as part of the ongoing investigation, we are appealing for witnesses or anyone who believes they may have been a victim of a similar assault, to contact police on 101, quoting Operation Papaver.

Witnesses, or anyone with information, are asked to call Northamptonshire Police on 101. Alternatively, they can call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
