A retailer in Northampton is looking to recruit 12 apprentices.
Aldi wants to take on a dozen people as part of its nationwide apprenticeship scheme that will recruit more than 700 apprentices across the country.
A spokesman for the retailer said: “Aldi store apprentices are trained in all aspects of Retail Management during their three year course, which features a mixture of in-store and theory work.
“The scheme offers store assistant training in year one and store management training in years two and three with a market-leading salary of £5.40 per hour rising to £7.85 per hour; significantly higher than other retailers and the national minimum wage for apprenticeships.
“Aldi store apprentices also receive a Retail Apprenticeship Level 3 qualification, which very few retailer apprenticeships currently offer,” he said.
“By the end of the scheme, the most successful store apprentices will have the opportunity to progress to the position of assistant store Manager with a starting salary of £30,000. By joining the scheme, apprentices could ultimately be fast tracked to a Store Manager position if they excel during training.
Applications for the scheme should be submitted via Aldi’s recruitment website www.aldirecruitment.co.uk/apprentice and successful candidates will be asked to attend an interview followed by an ‘Aldi experience’ at a local store.
