A beautiful looking Bridge Street was pictured 75 years ago after there a deluge of snow hit the town.

Many parts of the UK has been hit by snow today, although none fell in Northamptonshire despite the Met Office issuing a severe weather warning for the county.

The Met Office has issued a further weather warning of wind for this evening from 5pm until around 6am tomorrow (Thursday).

Weather forecasters have said there will be gales or severe gales spreading across the country tonight and the public should be aware of the risk of disruption to transport and possibly power supplies.
