At least six jobs worth £150k in total will be cut by Northamptonshire crime commissioner

The annual cost of the office will also be cut by more than £150,000.

Mr Mold said the new management structure will also see a number of key appointments to his staff.

He said: “Before the review, there were 26 members of staff, going forward there will be 20 or fewer.

“In assembling this new structure whilst cutting the annual salary cost of the office by over £150,000, I’m confident that my office is delivering value for money while assembling a team that, alongside Northamptonshire Police, will create real, positive change.”

Subject to the approval of the Northamptonshire Police and Crime Panel, Mr Mold will appoint Martin Scoble - who served with the British Army for 18-years as the new chief executive of the OPCC.

The office of police and crime commissioner has also appointed Nicci Marzec as director for early intervention and Simon Clifford as director for technology and digital transformation.

Mr Mold said he is currently seeking applications for a new director for delivery, following the resignation of Kathryn Buckle, who the previous PCC, Adam Simmonds, had described as his best friend.

Mr Mold said: “In Martin, Nicci and Simon we have three extremely experienced, skilled people who will play a major role in making Northamptonshire safer.

“I’m happy that we have a team that will support Northamptonshire Police to the highest possible level in order to protect people from harm and ensure we are delivering a first class service for residents of the county.”
