Laura’s charity work praised by Blue Peter

Dedicated Deanshanger fundraiser 11-year-old Laura Holland has received an unexpected reward for her charity work.

Laura was wrote to the BBC TV programme Blue Peter to tell them about her fundraising efforts and they awarded her the famous Blue Peter badge.

Kind-hearted Laura attends Holy Trinity Church in Deanshanger, where the children have been helping congregation members Elly Hance and Rosemary Skinner raise money for Newlife Foundation for Disabled Children, the largest charity funder of specialist equipment for children,

with disabilities and terminal illness in the UK.

Her mum Carolyn said: “Laura has been involved in lots of fundraising events and has probably raised between £120 and £150 so far.
“I’m very proud of Laura – she’s been an absolute superstar. Elly and Rosemary are doing an excellent job and they are so committed to raising money for those children and so passionate about it.”
