Coffee house giants Starbucks look set to open one of largest branches in the UK in Northampton’s Market Square in September.
The US chain announced the plans to open a store in a ‘landmark building’ in the market back in March.
At the time Northampton Borough Council’s then leader David Mackintosh declared the outlet would be ‘one of the biggest’ Starbucks in the UK when open.
This week the coffee house company has confirmed it is still committed to the town in a brief statement.
A spokeswoman said: “We are excited to confirm that we will be opening a Starbucks store at Market Square, Northampton.
“At this early stage, our aim is to open in late September with the creation of up to 25 new jobs for the local economy.”
