Burglars broke into a house in Northampton before taking a large amount of gold jewellery, including pendants, earrings, necklaces and watches.

Northamptonshire Police say the offenders entered the property in Arlbury Road, Blackthorn, sometime between noon and 9.30pm on Thursday, May 14 by smashing a back door window.

They searched the house inside and took what a police spokesman said was “a large amount of gold jewellery.”

Officers investigating the case want to speak to a white man who was dressed in dark clothing and a white cap and driving a large black Mercedes in the area at the time, as they believe he may be able to help with enquiries.
