Polly Major and her partner have six children - four of whom have been born so early they needed weeks of special care on NGH’s Gosset Ward.

As a thank you, she and several other ‘Gosset mums’ have organised a charity children’s disco at Cripps Recreational Centre.

Mrs Major said that the hospital is unable to fund everything the ward needs to keep up with the latest technology, and that extra money is incredibly important.

She said: “Between my twins being in Gosset about nine years ago and my youngest two years ago, I could see just how much even the incubators have changed.

“But for that incubator, she might not be here today and that shows you just how important the extra donations are.”

All proceeds of the disco will go straight to Gosset Ward as Cripps has waived its room fee and entertainment has been donated free by professional party organiser

Nicky Rayfield and jurassic Events.

An appearance by Peppa Pig has also been given free of charge by Just Party.

Tickets are £2.50 per child, £1 for those aged under one and £1 for each adult.
