THE BIGGEST ever grid of racing E-type Jaguars will be gathered together at Silverstone to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the legendary car.
It is hoped 58 racing E-types will race at the Northamptonshire circuit during the Silverstone Classic between July 22 and 24.
Grahame White from the Historic Sports Car Club said: “The race on Saturday evening will be very special.”
The Silverstone Classic is the official home of the E-type’s 50th birthday celebrations. Over the weekend, a world record attempt will also be held to get more than 700 surviving E-types on the Silverstone track at once.
