Hundreds of people of all ages, pedalling bikes of all sizes, raised money for a Northamptonshire newborn charity at Silverstone circuit last night.

NorPIP are a charity based in Towcester, who work with families to provide sufficient bonding between parents and babies.

The cycling event is an annual one, held at the famous Silverstone Grand Prix Circuit around the International Track, which is 1.8 miles long.

Cyclists last night included some on novelty cycles, like the man on a penny farthing, to tiny bikes latched on to a grown-up’s.

They all got to ride for three hours on the very tarmac that has seen many classic grand prix moments over the years and will see the like sof Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton this summer.
