A 49-year-old woman who was allegedly murdered by her Northamptonshire Police officer husband died from head injuries, an inquest heard today.
Jill Goldsmith, 49, was found last Thursday at the semi-detached home she shared with her husband Detective Constable Otis Goldsmith in Wootton Hall Park.
Kettering Magistrates’ Court heard today that Mrs Goldsmith’s body was identified by a former partner Dean Bailey.
County coroner Anne Pember said a post mortem examination carried out by Home Office Pathologist Professor Guy Rutty in Leicester concluded the cause of death to be head injuries.
Mrs Pember did not release Mrs Goldsmith’s body, as further tests are to be carried out.
The inquest was adjourned until July 30.
Mrs Goldsmith married her husband 10 months ago and they lived together in a property next to Northamptonshire Police’s headquarters.
