The majority of the country enjoyed a hot and sunny weekend with temperatures set to rise even further over the next few days.

“It will be a warm day with highs expected to reach 27C, certainly making this the warmest day of the year so far, although this will undoubtedly be broken again tomorrow.

“It will be a humid though too. Despite the strong sunshine and temperatures already exceeding 20C, the relative humidity is still around 80%. There will be just a light and variable air, nothing to temper the temperature or humidity. A dry, muggy night will follow with lows not falling below 16C.”

Temperatures are set to reach 31C tomorrow (Tuesday) across the county. An “extremely humid” night will follow with temperatures unlikely to fall below 21C.

According to Pitsford, it will be another warm day on Wednesday, with highs likely to reach 27C.
