A hospice is being supported by a Northampton firm who launched their drive with a cheque for £1,500.
Neptunus has adopted Cynthia Spencer Hospice as its official charity partner.
Managing Director April Trasler (pictured right) said: “As a company, Neptunus is keenly aware of its corporate social responsibility and therefore wants to give something back to the community in the area from which we operate.
“I heard about the fantastic work being undertaken by the Cynthia Spencer Hospice in South Northamptonshire, and after discussing it with the team at Neptunus we decided it would be a really worthy cause to support.
“Most of us at some time in our lives will be in need of support from organisations such as Cynthia Spencer Hospice. I know from personal experience the tremendous amount of support and comfort they can offer families at a very traumatic time.”
The cheque was presented by April Trasler to Sarah Denston who is responsible for the hospice’s events fundraising activities.
Next month many of Neptunus’ staff will be supporting ‘Make a Will Week’ from May 11-15 where law practices around Northamptonshire are offering a will-writing service in return for a donation from each participant to the hospice. Neptunus makes and supplies temporary structures for events. Sarah said: “We are delighted that they have chosen the charity to raise vital funds for us throughout the year.”
