Year 6 children in the Junior School at Quinton House School had a beautiful sunny day with clear blue skies to enjoy a hawking demonstration from ‘Hands On Hawking’ recently.

A spokeswoman said: “They had the opportunity to fly Harris Hawks and hold a variety of owls.  The children had afabulous time learning about the habits and natural environments of the birds, and asked lots of questions.

“Everybody had a turn to hold an owl or a hawk; even those who were a little apprehensive at first overcame their nerves and enjoyed getting close to these amazing birds.”
