There will be designated training areas to develop practical skills such as catering and technical skills and a full IT suite will enable clients to develop their computer skills and work on CVs.

The building will be focused on helping people who have been long-term unemployed, to gain work and volunteering opportunities.

Hope Centre chairman, Adrian Pryce, said: “The new centre will provide a nurturing environment in which people will feel comfortable preparing for the sometimes daunting task of returning to the work place.”

Leon Williams, case manager at the Hope Centre, said: “We aim to familiarise ourselves with each of the patrons of our day centre and continue to provide a welcoming

environment where each person has the opportunity to address needs and improve well being. We tailor our support to meet individual needs and treat each person as an individual deserving respect and support to progress.

“We are very excited to offer further support away from the centre and now actively engage with local businesses and organisations that share similar values.”
