Gang pulls victim off bicycle in Northampton alleyway before robbing him in daylight

A cyclist was making his way through an alleyway in Northampton when a gang of men assaulted him made a getaway with his watch and bike.

The victim was cycling through an alleyway between Boots and the former Moon on the Square pub, when he was confronted by a group of three to four males, who pulled him off his bike and assaulted him before making off with the bike – a dark grey Carrera mountain bike – and a watch.

The incident happened between 11am and 11.30am, on Sunday, November 12, Northamptonshire Police today revealed.

A police spokeswoman said: "One of the offenders is described as white and about 6ft 1in. He was wearing a black Stone Island puffa jacket, dark blue Stone Island trousers, black Nike Air Max 95 shoes and a balaclava, and was carrying a brown Louis Vuitton man bag.

"A second offender is described as black, about 5ft 10in, wearing a black coat, dark blue Nike tracksuit bottoms with a white stripe on them, and red Nike Air Max 90 shoes."
