The friend of a Northampton teenager who a coroner ruled took his own life said he was a talented artist who was greatly missed by all who knew him.

Kirk Bradley Green, aged 18, was found dead at his flat in Kingsley Road on November 20.

At an inquest into his death held at County Hall on Wednesday, county coronor Anne Pember read a statement written by his close friend Reed Whiles, which said the teenager was “always laughing and carefree”.

Mr Whiles wrote: “He loved music and made really cool spray paint art. He was a clever guy with lots of interests - whenever he found a new interest he would master it in days.

“Kirk also liked cooking and was really good at it.

“We all miss him and wish he was still around.”

The former Northampton College student spent some time working in retail for a Two Seasons shop before he died.

The coronor ruled Kirk had taken his own life.
