A free fireworks display organised by Northampton Borough Council will be held on the Racecourse in Northampton this year.
The bonfire and fireworks will take place on the park on Thursday, November 5, with a bonfire lit at 7pm and fireworks starting at 7.30pm.
More than 14,000 people attended last year’s event and, as there is no parking available at the site, people are urged to park in the town centre and walk to the Racecourse.
The small car park on the East Park parade side of the Racecourse will be closed and that site will be used for refreshment stands and children’s fairground rides.
Councillor Brandon Eldred, Cabinet Member for Customers and Communities at Northampton Borough Council, said: “The firework display we held last year was really popular and thousands of people attended. The town centre was buzzing with families using the restaurants and cafes and it was a very good event.
“I’m sure this year’s display will be just as spectacular and I’m asking people to park responsibly and leave themselves time to get to the Racecourse.
