A Northampton casino will be celebrating UK Coffee Week by hosting a coffee morning in aid of Cynthia Spencer Hospice.
The free event at Aspers casino, in Commercial Street in the town centre, will begin at 11am on Tuesday, May 5, where chefs will be providing a range of cakes and coffees in exchange for donations to the hospice.
Step By Step dance school will also be making a special appearance, bringing an exclusive performance and an announcement about plans for Strictly Northampton 2015.
David Stratford, Aspers general manager, said: “We’re proud to host this fantastic event to raise money for Cynthia Spencer Hospice. Aspers has supported the charity through a number of events over the years, most notably Strictly Northampton.
“While the majority of people in our county may be aware of the name Cynthia Spencer Hospice, there’s more to the palliative care they offer than meets the eye, and fundraising events such as this are just one way we can help raise awareness and donations to support the charity.”
The casino has been officially supporting the hospice since 2011. Sue Bownass, community fundraiser, said: “We’re pleased to be the chosen charity for Aspers’ coffee morning and we hope that the people of Northampton will take a break from their day to support the Hospice with a cup of coffee and a cake.”
