Four men fled empty handed after they forced their way into a B&M store in Northampton.

The men targeted the shop in Towcester Road at about 7.30am on Thursday, February 26.

After arriving outside the shop on off-road motorbikes, three of the men forced their way into the store, which was not yet open, while one man waited outside.

A member of staff who had been getting ready to open the shop was then ordered into the office by the gang and told to hand over money.

The staff could not access any money so, after searching the office, the men fled empty handed.

They rode away on the off-road bikes in the direction of KFC.

The men were all dressed in black and it is believed that at least two of them were white.

Witnesses, or anyone with information, are asked to call Northamptonshire Police on 101.
