Four fire engines called out to deal with large blaze on building site in Roade


Northants Fire and Rescue service is investigating the cause of a large blaze at a building site in Roade last night.

Four crews of firefighters were called out at 11.45pm on Thursday to deal with a large pile of rubble that was on fire in Ashton Road.

People in the Roade are were advised to keep windows and doors closed as the fire was left to burn out under close supervision of fire crews.

A couple of crews are still at the scene this morning. A spokesman for the fire service said the cause of the fire was being investigated.
