Four fire crews attend blaze at a Northampton town centre building

Police and firefighters have been called out to Northampton town centre.

The emergency services were called to a boarded up property in St George’s Street at about 1.30pm this afternoon.

Traffic congestion was caused around the Regent’s Square as a result.

The fire service said at 2.25pm that they had extinguished the flames.
