An expert in English folk dancing costumes will be holding a craft workshop for children later this month.

Chloe Metcalfe’s session is at Stoke Bruerne Canal Museum on Monday, August 24, from 1.30pm to 3.30pm.

Children aged eight to 14 will use textiles to design Morris baldric rosettes, arm bands and rag waistcoats.

They will then be invited to take part in a musical procession as part of Get Active in Salcey Forest on Wednesday, August 26, where Chloe will be running more fabric craft activities.

These events are part of South Northamptonshire Council’s SPLAT summer activities programmes.

Councillor for community engagement and wellbeing, Rosie Herring, said: “This is a delightful way for children and young people in the district to get creative and enjoy learning about traditional crafts.”

The workshop costs £8. To book, contact 01327 322277 or Visit
