Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance (WNAA) is opening the latest in its chain of award-winning boutique charity shops in Kingsthorpe, Northampton today, Friday.
The store – at 72 Harborough Road – will open for business at 10.30am. It will sell a range of fashion, homeware, accessories and bric-a-brac and will rely on donations of good quality items to replenish stock.
WNAA receives no government funding and relies on public support and donations to secure its existence and raise the £1,700 it costs to undertake each of their rescue missions. Profits from their charity shops are an important source of income.
A spokesperson for the charity said: “Our shops are not just a fantastic source of income for our charity, but also a great way of interacting with our local communities.
“As well as helping our charity continue to save lives, shoppers in Kingsthorpe will be able to grab a bargain!”
