Four fire engines are currently battling a blaze at a farmhouse in a Northamptonshire village.

Fire crews from Daventry, Towcester and Brackley were called out to Woodford Halse at 9.45am this morning.

A large plume of smoke can been seen by nearby residents from the site of the fire, which involves a farmhouse.

A spokeswoman for the fire service said nobody was injured or trapped in the building.

The spokeswoman said the fire crews were syill in the process of extinguishing the blaze.
