Children from schools across the area have come together in the name of sport at Spratton Hall Prep School.
Some 200 pupils from 18 primary schools competed in a series of athletic events at a sports day organised by sports coach company Pacesetter Sports - and the overall winner of the athletics event was Spratton Primary.
Spratton Primary’s headteacher Claire Radd said: “The children who went to the athletics event at Spratton Hall had a really great experience - it was well organised and the activities were accessible, whilst allowing the children to challenge themselves.
“It was fantastic to see our children working as teams, encouraging each other and the other teams too. We have been lucky enough to have been coached in school by Pacesetters staff this year - the staff and children have learnt a lot from their input.
“We have really valued the expertise of their coaches and the children have made great progress. The children who attend are already looking forward to next year’s sessions.”
Pacesetter Sports employs 20 coaches covering 22 different sports.
From September, the firm will be coaching in just under 100 primary schools taking PE and extra-curricular clubs throughout the county. To find out more about Pacesetters, go online.
