A student from Northampton who died after a being hit by a car was a “beautiful person both inside and out”, her family has said.

Chloe Adkins, 20, formerly of Moulton School and Science College, died of her injuries late on Saturday after being struck by a Mercedes car in Hagley Road, Birmingham, shortly before 3pm the previous day.

In a statement released by West Midlands Police, her family said: “Chloe was in her third year of studying Computing for Business at Aston University.

“She was a beautiful person both inside and out.

“Chloe loved scrap-booking and baking and enjoyed making things for the house she shared with her boyfriend and two friends.

“She touched so many lives with kind words and support and had a close circle of friends who loved her and who will miss her dearly.

“Chloe had registered as an organ donor and we can only hope that her passing is of benefit to others. It’s what she would have wanted.

“Nothing can fill the void she leaves in all our lives. We love and miss her so much.”

Miss Adkins was originally from Northampton, and it is believed from the Harlestone area, but was studying in Birmingham.

Officers from the force’s Regional Collision Investigation Unit continue to investigate the circumstances of the incident.
