A family from Weedon-Lois will be enjoying a bumper Christmas after having their say on the housing needs of their community.
Gemma Simpson was one of hundreds of people who were entered into a free prize draw to win a hamper of produce worth £100 after taking part in South Northamptonshire Council’s (SNC) Housing Needs Survey.
The hamper will be filled with meat, chutneys and other treats produced in South Northamptonshire and will be presented to Ms Simpson this week.
Councillor Dermot Bambridge, SNC’s portfolio holder for economic development, regeneration and housing said: “Getting the right mix of housing for the district is one of our toughest challenges, and one we must face at a time of rapid demographic and socio-economic change.
“We must also do this while balancing one of the Council’s other core values, to preserve what is special about South Northamptonshire.
“So it is more important than ever that residents take the opportunity to have their say on the housing needs of their community.”
The survey will assess the need for all housing tenures from open market housing to shared ownership and affordable rental homes.
