False alarm at Northampton shopping centre sees fire service mount full-scale response
Four fire engines were called to a Northampton shopping centre last night - but it was a false alarm.
Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue were scrambled after reports of "a smell of burning" near Weston Favell Shopping Centre at around 6:10pm yesterday (March 22).
Crews rushed to the shopping centre, but a spokeswoman from the fire service said "nothing was found".
Several readers contacted the Chronicle & Echo asking for updates on the incident.
