End of an era as Northampton's Marks and Spencer store closes down
Marks and Spencer in Abington Street closed the doors to shoppers for the final time at 6pm on Saturday after decades of trading on the high street. The closure is part of a major structure by the retail giant which will eventually lead to the closure of more than 100 stores by 2022.
The doors are now shut, the signs have been removed and all that remains is a sign saying the store is now closed.
