Eight sentimental service medals stolen from a house in Northampton

Thieves who broke into a house in Northampton through an unlocked door stole eight service medals.

Burglars got in through an unlocked conservatory door at the house in Knights Lane, Kingsthorpe, and then broke through into the man part of the property.

A television, cash, a phone, a men’s gold Longine watch and alcohol were taken.

In addition, eight service medals were stolen and these are of particular sentimental value to the victim. One of the medals is described as an Indian Star, another one an African corps.

The burglary took place between 2pm and 7pm on Sunday, December 14.

Police would like to hear from anybody who has been offered any of the items above second-hand, particularly the medals, or who saw any suspicious activity in the area at the times mentioned above.
