Driver grabs arm of boy, 12, in suspicious incident in Northamptonshire village

Police are appealing for witnesses after a driver tried to grab the arm of a 12-year-old boy.

The incident, which police are describing as ‘suspicious,’ took place on the Kettering Road in Broughton yesterday (Sunday).

A 12-year-old boy was walking through the village at about 2.45pm and was close to the chapel when a man in a small red car, similar to a Fiesta, drew up alongside him.

The driver of the car asked him for directions before grabbing his arm.

The victim managed to break free and ran off and the offender drove away towards the A43.

He is described as being in his forties or fifties with dark jaw-length hair and a stubbly beard.

He wore sunglasses and a grey Lacoste polo shirt and had a faded blue or green tattoo on his left forearm.

Police would like to speak to anyone who witnessed this incident or has any information regarding it.
