Door man allegedly assaulted at closing time at Northamptonshire town pub

A member of staff was assaulted at closing time at a Northamptonshire pub.

Between 1.15am and 1.30am on Sunday December 11, a door supervisor at the Red Lion pub in Market Square, Brackley, asked a customer to drink up and leave because they were closing.

Police say the woman ignored the request and, when she was asked a second time, became verbally abusive.

The door supervisor then escorted the woman towards the exit and, as they walked into the foyer area, the woman’s partner grabbed the supervisor, causing her and the woman to fall, at which point the supervisor was allegedly punched twice.

Other staff came to help and the woman and her partner were ejected from the premises.

The woman is described as about 5ft 6in, with a slim build and in her mid to late 30s. She had very long, thick, straight, blonde/brown hair, and was wearing a lot of make-up and had a fake tan. She was wearing a waist length, light-coloured Puffa-type jacket and blue jeans.

The man is described as being in his late 30s, with a medium build and had short dark hair which was longer on top and brushed back off his face. He was wearing a plain black jacket and blue jeans.

Witnesses to the incident, or anyone with information, are asked to call Northamptonshire Police on 101. Alternatively, they can call independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
