The notice has been served after the council claimed the company had failed to complete the associated flood alleviation as outlined in the planning permission for the development.

Village website, www.kingssutton.org, published the order in full online as it reported the decision.

“[The notice] means that general works will not be allowed to continue at the site until the council and its consultants are satisfied that the approved flood alleviation scheme has been properly implemented,” it said.

The only work now allowed on site will be that necessary for the flood sceheme and the council has warned that if work is not carried out a permanent stop notice and enforcement notice may be served.
