Cyclists rob man of his phone at knifepoint in Northampton

A man was robbed as he walked along a street in Northampton.

The 32-year-old was walking along the path in Raeburn Road, Northampton, at about 5.15am on Sunday, June 5. when he was approached by two men on mountain bikes, who had been riding along Kettering Road.

One of the men produced a knife and stole the victim’s iPhone 5 and head phones before he managed to run away.

The first robber was a white man, of medium build, around 6ft, in his late teens to early twenties and was wearing a grey hooded top, burgundy balaclava and carrying a grey Superdry satchel. He was riding a white mountain bike.

The second offender was also white, of medium build, 6ft 2ins and in his late teens to early twenties. He was wearing a black hooded top and black bottoms.

Police would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the crime or who may have any information about it.

They would particularly like to speak to a woman who was on Raeburn Road at the time of the incident and may have witnessed the robbery.
