A cyclist was pulled off his bike then punched in the face during an unprovoked assault in Kettering.

The 20-year-old man was cycling to work on Saturday when he was attacked.

At some point between 12.45pm and 1.15pm, he was in Bath Road, close to Shelley Road when a man shouted at him as he rode past.

The man then chased after him and pulled him off his bike. A second man then punched the cyclist in the face, breaking his nose.

After the attack, the cyclist managed to get back onto his bike and ride to safety.

Both men were white. One was stocky and had short hair and was clean shaven. He spoke with a local accent. The second man was skinny.

Officers investigating the case would like to speak to anyone who saw this unprovoked attack or anyone who knows who the two men may be.

Witnesses, or anyone with any information, can call Northamptonshire Police on 101. Alternatively, information can be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
