Cyclist hit by 4x4 vehicle at Corby service station

Police are appealing for witnesses after a cyclist was hit by a 4x4 vehicle at a service station in Corby.

The collision happened outside the BP service station in Uppingham Road between 9.30pm and 10.15pm on Friday, March 24.

A dark-coloured 4x4 vehicle was leaving the forecourt when it was in collision with the cyclist, who was pushing his bike across the exit.

A police spokesman said: “The driver stopped to check on the cyclist, a local man in his thirties, who at the time did not appear to be injured.

“However, he later became unwell and was admitted to hospital over the weekend.

“Officers are appealing for witnesses to the incident and in particular are asking the driver of the dark-coloured 4x4 involved in the collision to contact them.”
